These games will have cumulative effect on the brand. Focusing on console sales instead of engagement at this point frankly seems negligent. Microsoft offering multiple ways to access the title…again…isn’t a negative. In engine is good enough for a first reveal.įable just needs to be great. I agree with the notion of them still holding a little back from the ABK deal, not just about them looking weak but they are just so focused on this one thing they doing the usual stuff as they have in the past. Others mention of what has Xbox released in the last 18 months to cause a huge uptick in sales is also right, what happens if in the quarter with Starfield and Forza Motorsport the console sales shoot up 150%? are people gonna whiplash back into saying Xbox isn't doomed, to be fair I'm kinda sick of that sort of reactionary takes and it's like some people live on edge of these numbers and games like it's their last chance. Microsoft owning ABK is Xbox being cemented into foreverness unless the cloud takes over the world haha. Like you said Microsoft is making so much money, Xbox is already a success and just because it sells less than another console marker doesn't mean it's a failure and 1 quarter isn't going to dictate the next 5 years. (this isn't directed at anyone just to be clear)
Though I do think some of it comes from trolling / concern trolling which then sets off some Xbox fans, some fans have PTSD from last gen and I guess that plays on how some react. The biggest thing I hate about the Xbox community is how often they lose their shit over anything Sony does, if Sony gets a win in anything then Xbox lost and it's doomed and here is all these things wrong.
